Championing active lifestyles
We influence policy and drive physical activity campaigns.
Energise Me is a charity that champions physical activity for all in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
We are working hard to end inactivity. Our goal is to create a happier, healthier and stronger future for local people. We won’t rest until everyone has the confidence, support and opportunity to be active on their own terms.
Physical activity transforms lives. Our work is helping people to reduce their risk of major illnesses and depression. With your help, we are enabling communities to thrive. But we still have a long way to go.
We are one of 42 Active Partnerships who work with partners to create an active nation.
There is no situation, there is no age and no condition where exercise is not a good thing.
Chris Whitty, England's Chief Medical Officer
Our vision is to beat inactivity.
We change lives through physical activity and sport and inspire people to adopt active lifestyles that make our communities happier, healthier and stronger.
We aim to achieve this by being:
Collaborative – we work in partnership to unlock potential.
Committed – we work hard to make our vision a reality and tackle barriers that stand in our way.
Innovative – we never stand still; we look to the future and always ask “why?”
Purposeful – we focus and prioritise resources for maximum impact.
Respectful – we celebrate diversity and embrace a range of perspectives.

Energise Me registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation in February 2016. But we’ve been around a lot longer. Before becoming Energise Me, we sat within Hampshire County Council. Back then, we were known as Sport Hampshire and Isle of Wight.
A lot has changed. Our focus has shifted towards beating inactivity. We’ve welcomed new faces to our team. But, with funding from Sport England, we are still changing lives through physical activity and sport.
