Saints Foundation are looking for a passionate and community focused Place Based Project Officer to support the delivery of their Place Expansion Project.

This role will use the power of the Southampton Football Club brand and the benefits of physical activity to engage local communities, helping people become more active, connected and empowered.

Hours: Full Time
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31 July 2028
Criminal Record Check: Enhanced with Child’s Barred List
Salary: £26,227.50 per annum

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive sessions within local communities, supporting people of all ages and backgrounds to take part in physical activity and social opportunities. Working alongside the Place Based Coordinator, you will help ensure the successful delivery of the project, building strong relationships with community groups, organisations and residents.

You will support the development of new partnerships, identify opportunities to engage local people, and help shape activities that meet the needs of the community. The role will involve planning and delivering a range of targeted and open access sessions, gathering feedback from participants, and supporting the long term sustainability of the project through meaningful community engagement. You will also work closely with colleagues and partners to promote the programme and capture the positive impact it is having across Southampton.
