Sport Welfare Officer Network Webinar
We warmly invite you to join us for a one hour online webinar on Wednesday 10th June at 2.00pm to hear more about the Sport Welfare Officer (SWO) Network – the journey so far, the impact being made, and the learning emerging from the programme.
Established in 2023, the SWO network is a team of professionals working across England and across sport. Sport Welfare Officers are based within local 42 Active Partnerships, with the programme led nationally by the Active Partnership National Organisation (APNO).
The network works collaboratively with National Governing Bodies to complement and strengthen existing support available to clubs. The Sport Welfare Officers provide advice and guidance, training, support, and opportunities for clubs and organisations to connect locally to share learning and best practice.
Alongside delivery, a national evaluation is being led by Ecorys UK, and the webinar will feature the findings of the evaluation to date including the progress, challenges, and opportunities emerging through the work.
During this webinar, we will explore:
- The role and purpose of the Sport Welfare Officer Network
- How the network is supporting different sports and communities
- The ways the network is helping connect local and national systems
- Key outcomes, impact, and learning from the programme so far
- How the work is helping shift local clubs towards a culture of welfare and wellbeing
The webinar is open to anyone working or volunteering in sport who would like to learn more about the network and how we’re working together towards safer, more supportive sporting environments.
We would be delighted if you could join us.
