Hannah Fredericks, Place Lead

Hannah has a background spanning the NHS, local government, community development and physical activity sectors. As a HCPC-registered Sport and Exercise Psychologist, she is passionate about behaviour change, creating healthier communities, and bringing people together to achieve lasting system change.

She is excited to work with partners across Southampton and Portsmouth to strengthen relationships, champion place-based approaches, and support communities to become more active, healthier and happier. Hannah is particularly passionate about listening to local people, building on community strengths and creating opportunities for collaboration and shared learning.

Outside of work, Hannah is a keen swimmer and water polo player. More recently, she has caught the running bug after completing Couch to 5K and a 10 Weeks to 10K programme, with the Great South Run firmly in her sights and a half marathon on her future bucket list. She also enjoys the occasional reformer Pilates class with friends, which keeps her challenged, grounded and regularly discovering muscles she never knew existed!
