Hampshire School Games

Hampshire School Games - children playing handball

2020 date announced – Thursday 18 June Primary & Secondary

Location – Aldershot Garrison Sports Facilities, GU11 2LQ

The Hampshire School Games is one of our favourite events because each year it’s full of fun, excitement, competition and inspiration.

It’s a unique opportunity for us to help encourage more young people into sport. Building on the legacy of London 2012 and Rio 2016, it’s designed to make sure that every school and every child has a chance to get involved – whatever their ability. For some, it’s the first time they play at a county level and this can often be the motivation for them to carry on with the sport through school and beyond.

After area rounds organised by School Games Organisers, the military facilities in Aldershot play host to the Games with around 3,000 competitors taking part in a variety of sports across varying Primary and Secondary age groups on Thursday 18 June. This year there will be competitions in 17 different sports, these will be;
