Hampshire School Games Daily Lockdown Challenges Spring Term

During the Autumn Term Hampshire & IOW SGO’s ran a series of Virtual Competitions. Allowing every school across the county to take part in as many or as few sports as they liked. There were a total of 8 sports competitions on offer.
Over the competition period over 170 schools competed in one or more competitions, some schools did them all!
With the scores added up and all the results reviewed, below is a list of all the winners. Well done to everyone who took part! It was fantastic to see over 61,000 entries across all the competitions.
Certificates will be on the way to the top 3 schools in each sport and age group in the next few weeks.
Here’s what Portsmouth School Games Organiser, Madeleine had to say about the virtual competition:
“Given the difficulties faced after returning to school, we were really pleased with the number of entries received and in particular from primary schools across the county! The initiative managed to engage not just schools who usually enter local inter-school face to face events but a number of new schools who entered the School Games competitions for the first time! We will definitely be including virtual events in the annual plans in the future.”
