Every Mind Matters
We don’t need to wait until we are struggling with our mental health. There are lots of things we can do to protect ourselves and prevent problems escalating, just as we do with our physical health.
What is Every Mind Matters?
We are supporting the new Every Mind Matters campaign, which is the first national NHS mental health campaign. Every Mind Matters encourages adults to be more aware of their mental health. The campaign helps them to discover simple steps to look after their mental health and wellbeing.
To start you on your journey to better mental wellbeing, this campaign offers a free NHS-approved online tool. The tool will help you to build an action plan to deal with stress and anxiety and boost mood. It will also suggest ways to improve sleep and feel more in control.
How can it help?
The tool provides a holistic view of how you can improve your mental health. After answering 5 non-intrusive questions it suggests methods you can use to start your journey. Suggestions include relaxing your muscles and mind, doing more feel-good things. Plus something that Energise Me loves to advocate… moving more every day!

Alongside the suggested ideas, are videos that can help you achieve them and you can even swap the ideas if you don’t like them.
The #WeAreUndefeatable also talks about how people have used exercise to deal with the not-so-good days. Jo and Tania share their stories on how moving more has helped them through depression, fatigue and anxiety.
