Peri and Menopause Event

Date: September 7th 2022   Location: Online

A stage of life that affects every woman, but is often treated as taboo. This event will break the ice and make the topic of peri and menopause a part of everyday conversations. Learn how you can help women in all phases of life be physically active.

What To Expect:

This hour and a half online event will cover a range of things, including:

  • Insights into the impact to activity levels and barriers women experience during this life stage
  • Hear from women in this life stage and their experiences with physical activity
  • A talk from a specialist menopause GP who will go through the symptoms a woman may experience, how they can be alleviated and where you can signpost the women too
  • Chats with specialist menopause personal trainers and instructors to look at the barriers to being/staying active and how to over come them
  • Time to chat virtually with others thoughts and ideas about how to engage and keep women engaged in physical activity

Who Is It For?

The network is open to anyone who is passionate about supporting women, including but not limited to:

  • Individuals who are responsible for marketing or engaging local communities in physical activity and sport
  • Charities and support groups who work with women and girls
  • Anyone who wants to join the This Girl Can movement
