The session lasts approximately 1hour and will cover the Physical Activity Clinical Champions (PACC) Oncology slide set. \nWhat is PACC? \nThe Physical Activity Clinical Champions (PACC) programme provides free peer-led training and practical resources to support all healthcare professionals (HCPs) from hospital consultants through to community based practitioners to have more effective conversations around physical activity with their patients. \nWhat does the Oncology session cover? \n\nSetting the scene – Understand the current landscape for physical activity for patients\nEvidence-based benefits – The latest research on how physical activity can be beneficial for people living with cancer\nIdentifying barriers – Understand common barriers to engage in physical activity for people living with cancer\nAddressing risk – Understand how to consider risk in the context of physical activity promotion in oncology\nSupporting people to become more active – Develop understanding of behaviour change principles and how to have effective conversations\nSignposting – Find out more about national and local physical activity resources for people living with cancer.\n\nThe PACC programme is a Sport England funded project which is run by a consortium consisting of The Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre at Sheffield Hallam University\, Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine UK and Intelligent Health.
