Energise Your Club – Clubmark
We’re proud of the quality and diversity of our local sport and we know how hard you work to create a safe and rewarding environment. That’s why we always encourage our Clubs to go for accreditation through Clubmark – a universally recognised mark of quality across all community sports.
Why does it matter for my Club?
With wider government cutbacks and uncertainty, Clubmark aims to make sure that local clubs have a safe and strong structure. It’s much more than a logo – it’s a way of setting higher standards for welfare, equality, coaching and management.
If your Club is accredited it not only reflects the high standards but also shows current and future members that you’re committed to their wellbeing and their enjoyment of sport – encouraging them to be the best they can be and stay involved. For parents and carers, it provides reassurance that young people can grow and thrive in a safe environment.
The Club Matters site has everything you need to know but in a nutshell, Clubmark can help you to:
- Set clear goals
- Run your club efficiently
- Access training and initiatives
- Update policies and systems.
What do I need to do?
It’s easy to get going. You can do everything through the Club Matters website. Once you’ve registered, all you need to do is check that your Club is eligible and then you’re ready to start your online application. You’ll be guided through the form and what will happen once you’ve sent your form.
