Can you help?
Help support our communities in being active by volunteering at an upcoming event in Hampshire. People volunteer in a diverse range of roles in sport. We’ve found that most individuals, if not all, find it both challenging and rewarding.
If you’re looking to make a difference, check out the following opportunity.
The Petersfield Triathlon is being held on Sunday 24 September. This popular annual event is held to raise funds for the clubs charity partner, Fitzroy, who support adults with learning disabilities. Last year the money raised went towards a new outdoor classroom for Fitzroy at the Sustainability Centre. This event is only made possible with the help of volunteers to marshal the course. The event needs around 50 marshals on the day to make sure that the everything runs well and safely. Some marshals will be needed from around 7am to help with the final setting up of the courses, others from 8.30 am. Everything should be over by 1 pm.
Volunteers are needed to help with Registration, the Transition Area, on Poolside (in particular for lane counting), on the Bike and Run courses, and on the Finish Line. Small teams will also be needed for set up on the Saturday and take down on Sunday afternoon.
